Marriage is a wonderful celebration of two people in love and I will make this occasion a very personal and memorable one. I would like to give you a few details in relation to my work and what I have to offer.
I am professionally trained by The Irish Institute of Celebrants and can offer you a very personalised service. As a Celebrant and not a Solemniser, the wedding I perform is ceremonial.
I will always put my clients first, listen to your wishes and craft a unique ceremony for your special day. I will write a unique love story which will be at the heart of the ceremony and you can choose some Ritual Enhancements e.g. a Celtic Hand Fasting, a Sand Ceremony , a Unity Candle Ceremony.
I thoroughly enjoy my role as Celebrant and take immense pleasure in creating a special ceremony for each couple I work with. I am a member of Toastmasters International and I have completed the Leadership and Communication Tracks, earning many awards to reach Distinguished Toastmaster status. These accomplishments have given me a greater perspective of being a good communicator and effective leader

We had the great pleasure of having Derry as our celebrant for our wedding day in the beautiful Heritage Hotel, Killenard , Co. Laois on the 26th June 2021. It was a wonderful ceremony from start to finish and this was all thanks to Derry. Derry made regular contact before the wedding via zoom calls to make sure we were happy with the ceremony plan and gave us great suggestions on how to make our day unique.
It was a Covid wedding of 25 people and Derry made all of our guests, musicians and photographer feel so comfortable and relaxed for the ceremony. Derry´s Love Story during the ceremony added a lovely note of intimacy and he made sure to involve our two boys in various jobs throughout the event. Thanks Derry for such a memorable day.¨

Derry Butler has been known to me for over the past six years. Our life’s journey met in Toastmasters, which is a worldwide learning organisation in Communication and Leadership. Derry and I together with others completed many projects in this organisation. He has a “great warmth” of greeting people and ensures they are in a safe and secure environment. He has a talent of creativity and is reliable to follow through on all plans. He verbalises an excellent sense of humor and is not shy to wear a smile.
